John Leyden Am

John Leyden AM serves as a Non Executive Director at Neuroendocrine Cancer Australia since March 2020 and has been a Specialist Anaesthetist at Royal North Shore Hospital and UTS since 2008. Leyden holds multiple leadership positions, including Head of the Department of Anaesthesia at Ramsay Health Care, and Director of the Northern Sydney Anaesthetic Research Institute, promoting clinically relevant anaesthesia research. Leyden’s involvement extends to the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists' New South Wales Regional Committee and Executive Committee for the Cardiothoracic, Perfusion/Vascular Anaesthesia Special Interest Group. Previously, Leyden was Treasurer of the New South Wales Health Consumer Network and Chairman of The Unicorn Foundation, focusing on support for neuroendocrine cancer patients. Leyden’s educational background includes a Masters of Public Health and a Masters of Health Management from UNSW, along with a Fellowship in Anaesthesia from the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
