David Griffin

David Griffin is an experienced Infectious Diseases Physician currently leading the COVID-19 clinical service at Alfred Health since February 2019. With a strong background in infectious diseases, David has held roles ranging from infectious diseases registrar at The Royal Melbourne Hospital to a microbiology registrar at Dorevitch Pathology. In addition to clinical practice, David serves as a teaching associate at Monash University, providing instruction in health services knowledge and infectious diseases epidemiology. Notable achievements include receiving the “Exceptional Leadership” award at the 2022 Recognising Excellence Awards. David is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine at Monash University and holds advanced degrees, including a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Queensland.
