Adel Javanmard

Adel Javanmard serves as the Dean’s Associate Professor Chair in Business Administration at USC Marshall School of Business, where responsibilities include roles as a member of the iORB Executive Board and as an associate professor in the Data Science and Operations Department and the Computer Science Department. Javanmard's research interests encompass the design and analysis of statistical methods for large-scale data, high-dimensional statistical inference, network analysis, non-convex optimization, and personalized decision-making. Additionally, Javanmard is a Sloan Fellow in Mathematics with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and previously held a postdoctoral research associate position at the Center for Science of Information. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a dual B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology. Research experience includes internships at Microsoft and contributions to population stratification for genome-wide association studies and extracting biomedical relationships from unstructured documents.
