Michael Fritz

Michael Fritz is a postdoctoral researcher at the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) since September 2011, where Michael serves as an Executive Committee member of the IASC network Arctic in Rapid Transition (ART). Previously, Michael Fritz held positions as a Research Associate at Utrecht University and as a Guest Scientist in the Department of Earth Sciences' Organic Geochemistry Group, collaborating with host scientist Jorien Vonk on joint publications and research grant applications. Michael Fritz earned a PhD in Geosciences from the University of Potsdam (2008-2012) and a Diploma in Geography from Universität Greifswald (2002-2008).
