Benoit Queguineur has over 17 years of experience in the macro and microalgae industry. From 2003 to 2006, they were a Research Assistant at IFREMER. From 2006 to 2012, they were a PhD Candidate at the Irish Seaweed Research Group / Ryan Institute / NUI Galway. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Post-Doctoral Researcher on the EnAlgae project at NUI Galway. In 2014, they co-founded ALGANACT, where they served as Director. From 2013 to 2016, they were the Director and Co-Founder of Irish Seaweed Consultancy Ltd. Benoit has been the Partnership Manager & Laboratory Developer at ALGAIA since 2016.
Benoit Queguineur obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Marine Biology from the University of Galway in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc (DESS) in Industrial Valorisation of Natural Compounds from the Universite des Sciences Pharmaceutiques et Biologiques-Montpellier in 2003, with Honours. Benoit also obtained a Maitrise in Biology/Physiology/Marine Molecular Models from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale in 2002, with Honours.
