Algemene Rekenkamer
Barbara Joziasse currently serves as Vice President at Algemene Rekenkamer, the Supreme Audit Institution of the Netherlands, since January 2021. Prior to this role, Barbara acted as Ambassador at the Royal Netherlands Embassy from August 2017 to July 2021, where notable positions included Chair of the Regional Council for the Middle East, North Africa, Gulf, and Iran and Chair of the Council of Missions. Barbara's extensive diplomatic experience also encompasses serving as Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman (2013-2017) and to Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi (2010-2013), along with leadership roles at the Rijksoverheid as National Coordinator for International Positions and Deputy Director for Foreign Trade and Investments at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. Barbara holds a Master in Finance from Tilburg University and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Leiden University, complemented by various advanced training programs.

De Algemene Rekenkamer controleert of rijksoverheid geld uitgeeft en beleid uitvoert zoals het de bedoeling was. Dit doen we al sinds 1814. We doen dit met onderzoek naar rechtmatigheid, doelmatigheid, doeltreffendheid en integriteit. We rapporteren onze onderzoeksresultaten aan de Tweede Kamer.
