Justin Hochberg, Ph.D. has worked in various research assistant roles throughout their career. Justin started as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida in 2015, where they focused on synthesizing hyperbranched aminobisphosphonate polymers and silicon-containing polymers. In 2017, they moved to Case Western Reserve University as a Graduate Research Assistant. Following that, they joined the University of California San Diego in 2018 as a Graduate Research Assistant in the lab of Professor Jon Pokorski. There, they fabricated, functionalized, and evaluated biomedically useful polymeric materials, with a focus on nanofiber mats for wound treatment. Justin'sresearch involved polymer synthesis techniques such as RAFT and ATRP. Currently, Justin is working as a Senior Scientist in Polymer Chemistry at Algenesis Materials, starting in 2023.
Justin Hochberg, Ph.D. pursued their education in a disciplined manner. Starting from 2013 to 2016, they attended the University of Florida, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Moving forward, in 2017, they enrolled at Case Western Reserve University, specializing in Macromolecular Science and Engineering and earning a Doctor of Philosophy degree by 2018. Subsequently, from 2018 to 2022, they attended UC San Diego, focusing on NanoEngineering, and successfully obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree. Moreover, in 2020, they acquired a MicroMBA certification from UC San Diego.
