Senior Scientist Microbiology at Algenesis Materials

Marco Allemann has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Marco currently works as a Senior Scientist Microbiology at Algenesis Materials since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from June 2020 to November 2022. Marco also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Scripps Institution of Oceanography from September 2013 to December 2019. In addition, Marco worked at UC San Diego in various roles. Marco was a Masters student from September 2012 to August 2013, where they worked on their Masters project involving co-expression in E. coli. Marco also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during the same period. Prior to that, they were a Teaching Assistant for an introductory biology class at UC San Diego from January 2012 to March 2012. Marco'sresponsibilities included grading, holding weekly sessions for student questions and review, and preparing review materials for exams.

Marco Allemann has an extensive education history in the field of biology. Marco began their studies in 2010 at UCSD, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Microbiology, General. After completing their undergraduate degree in 2012, they continued their education at UC San Diego and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology in 2013.

Seeking further specialization, Marco Allemann enrolled in the doctoral program at UC San Diego. From 2013 to 2019, they dedicated their studies to Marine Biology and successfully earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field. Throughout their education, Marco Allemann focused on deepening their knowledge and expertise in various aspects of biology, culminating in their specialization in the field of Marine Biology.
