Rocco Amorós Jiménez has worked in various roles in the scientific field since 2007. Rocco started their career as a PhD student at the Biodiversity Research Institute CIBIO in Alicante, Spain. In 2009, they had a research stay at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research. In 2011, they were a Research Fellow at the Fundamental and Applied Research in Chemical Ecology lab at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. In 2014, they were a Graduate Teacher at the University of Alicante and Cofounder and Shareholder, Head of Research and Development, and CEO of BioNostrum Pest Control. In 2015, they were a Technical Expert at Agency for the Certification in Spanish Innovation (ACIE) in Madrid, Spain. From 2017, they were a Journal Reviewer for Ecological Entomology. In 2020, they became the Head of Entomology, Entomology Manager, and Senior Scientist at ALGENEX S.L.
Rocco Amorós Jiménez has a Licentiate degree in Environmental Biology from Universitat d'Alacant, earned between 2002 and 2007. Rocco then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the same university between 2008 and 2013. Currently, they are enrolled in a Course in mass insect rearing at North Carolina State University, which began in 2014.
