Aly Salem

Aly Salem is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and project finance across multiple firms. Currently serving as General Counsel for Alghanim International since May 2022, Aly previously held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at Elsewedy Electric, where responsibilities included leading M&A and joint venture transactions. Prior roles include advising the Egyptian Ministry of Transport on a significant US$ 4.5 billion Monorail Project as an Associate at Sarie Eldin & Partners and gaining international exposure at Latham & Watkins through the International Law for Africa Flagship Programme. Aly began a legal career with focus areas in mergers and acquisitions at Matouk Bassiouny and dispute resolution at Sherif Mahmoud Law Firm, complemented by a solid academic foundation including an LLM from Ain Shams University and an executive course in International Dispute Resolution from the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law.
