Philippe Taverne

Philippe is a senior legal practitioner specialising in corporate and securities laws with an emphasis on tech companies. He has been practising in Asia for 25 years. He advises both emerging and established companies throughout their corporate lifecycle providing counsel to their projects for growth (financing, venture capital, M&A).

He has developed a deep expertise in the blockchain industry and has gone on to advise wide-ranging clients in the blockchain industry from founders of layer-1 or 2 public blockchains, non-profit token foundations, dApps, DAOs, Web3 companies, private investment funds, crypto-exchanges, centralised and decentralised intermediaries.

Philippe also advises and assists numerous organizations on corporate governance matters. He is currently serving or has served as director of various profit and not-for-profit organizations (foundations, university, professional bodies). He has also served as an expert appointed by the United Nations for a research program on Business and Human Rights. He is registered with the Paris Bar Association and the Ministry of Law of Singapore as a foreign lawyer to practise in Singapore, where he has been living and working for the past 20 years.
