Ahmed Omar

Ahmed Omar is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in journalism, public relations, and media management. Currently serving as an Assignment and Planning Editor at Middle East Broadcasting Networks since November 2022 and a member of the press freedom committee at the National Press Club, Ahmed has cultivated expertise as a public relations strategist and media advisor since 2012. Previous roles include Senior Media Relations Manager/Arabic Copywriter at Hill+Knowlton Strategies and Senior Broadcast Journalist at BBC, where responsibilities encompassed content creation, team leadership, and news production across multiple platforms. Ahmed holds a Master's degree in Gender and Development and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Cairo University, complemented by a non-credited program in Political Economy from Georgetown University.
