Howard Oakes

Howard Oakes currently serves as the Global Head of Health & Safety at Aliaxis, a position held since May 2018, where Oakes has been a member of the Global Leadership Team since September 2022. Previously, Oakes held significant roles at Nestlé, including Global Head of Safety & Health, with accountability for the organization's S&H strategy and performance, and at GlaxoSmithKline, where various positions included EHS Director and Global EHS Audit Director, focusing on improving EHS performance across multiple global factories. Oakes's career began at GEC-Marconi and RPS-Thomson, working in safety and environmental management, and includes a brief tenure as an English Language Teacher in Turkey. Oakes holds multiple diplomas in environmental management, occupational safety, and hygiene, as well as a degree in Physics from the University of Manchester.
