Roberto Alfaro

Roberto Alfaro has over 17 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operations. From 2010 to present, they have served as both the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Alievio. In this role, they are responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of research and development (R&D), quality, manufacturing, and the clinical activities of 8 employees. From 2010 to present, they have also served as President of Speak Now, LLC. In this role, they are a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on finance/accounting functions, business operations and development, employment and HR functions, regulatory compliance, and contract administration. Roberto has also directed all strategic planning and business operations, managed governmental contracts, and created innovative, though non-traditional, business models. From 2003 to 2010, they served as Manager at Deloitte. In this role, they performed needs assessment and built loyal relationships with clients, both domestically and internationally, to successfully review and recommend operational changes. Roberto also managed and supervised 8 direct reports and up to 80 indirect reports while coordinating with global offices to mitigate risk for Fortune 100 companies in the banking and securities industry.

Roberto Alfaro received their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University at Albany, SUNY in 2003. Roberto then attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration in 2011.
