Adam Wolk has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Adam began their career as an Adult hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente in 2007 before moving to Inova Health System in 2008, where they served as an Adult hospitalist until 2010. During their time at Inova Health System, they also worked as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and an Academic Hospitalist at the Department of Medicine, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, they were appointed as the Assistant Program Director for Quality and Safety at the same institution from 2012 to 2014. Adam then joined MedStar Health in 2013 as the Regional Director for Hospital Medicine before transitioning to Alignment Healthcare in 2014. At Alignment Healthcare, they initially worked as a Regional Medical Officer from 2014 to 2016, then as a Senior Medical Officer from 2016 to 2021, and currently holds the position of Regional Chief Medical Officer starting from September 2021.

Adam Wolk's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree in Biology, which they obtained from Colby College in the years 1993 to 1997. Following this, Adam attended the University of California, Davis - School of Medicine, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from 1999 to 2003, specializing in the field of Medicine. After completing their medical degree, Adam pursued a Residency in Internal Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital from 2003 to 2006. Adam then went on to undertake a Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution from 2006 to 2007.

Adam'seducational journey continued later in life when Adam pursued a Doctorate of Public Health Leadership at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health from 2022 to 2025, focusing on the field of Public Health.
