Ruta Drobenkaite

Ruta Drobenkaite has a diverse range of work experience in the field of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. Ruta started their career as a Multimedia Interactive Designer at Gateway in 2005, where they designed and developed corporate training tools using Flash Professional and Action Scripting.

In 2007, they became an Interactive Media Specialist at SchoolsFirst FCU, where they conducted research, led focus groups, and determined the new look-and-feel of the organization's public website. Ruta also created original graphics and icons for the site.

In 2009, Ruta worked as a Graphic Design Consultant on a contract basis for Hewlett-Packard, collaborating on the redesign and development of HP's "Service Manager" software. Ruta was responsible for editing CSS, Java, JavaScript, and XML, as well as designing and implementing new icons.

Ruta joined AMN Healthcare in 2010 as a Web Development Specialist, providing technology support to the marketing production team. Ruta also coded web properties using CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and some ASP.NET.

After that, they worked at Quest Software as a Web Designer, leading web content-related projects and envisioning the image architecture and naming standard for quest.com. Ruta also developed and supported micro sites using CSS, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery, and provided daily support for quest.com.

In 2012, Ruta became a Senior UI/UX Designer at iHerb, where they managed and led the development of the digital strategy, user experience, and creative concepts for multi-platform mobile applications. Ruta also led a website redesign project and collaborated with a third-party agency on the creation of user interface architecture and navigation.

From 2014 to 2016, Ruta worked as a User Experience Architect at CompuGroup Medical USA, where they focused on designing effective UX solutions.

In 2016, they took on a contract role as a UI/UX Architect at NBC Universal International Television Distribution, where they translated business goals and requirements into effective UX designs for a music clearance software system.

Prior to their current role, Ruta worked at USRES as a UX Designer from 2017 to 2019. In this position, they were responsible for translating business goals and requirements into effective UX designs for the PropertyCure software system. Ruta conceptualized layouts, optimized existing interfaces, and worked closely with an on-site development team to ensure feasibility. Ruta was also involved in presenting and justifying proposed solutions and documenting functional requirements.

Currently, Ruta is employed at Alignment Healthcare, where they hold the positions of UX/UI Manager and UX Designer, starting in June 2019.

Ruta Drobenkaite obtained their BA of Arts in Digital Arts with a focus on Multimedia Design and Action Script from The Art Institutes, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Ruta has also obtained several certifications in UX design and interaction design, including "Interaction Design: Flow" from LinkedIn in March 2022, "UX Design: 1 Overview" from LinkedIn in June 2019, "UX Design Tools: Axure" from Lynda.com in November 2016, "Responsive Design with Bootstrap and Dreamweaver CC 2015" from Lynda.com in October 2016, "UX Design Tools: InVision" from Lynda.com in October 2016, and "UX Design Tools: Marvel" from Lynda.com in October 2016.
