Asghar Ijaz

Asghar Ijaz is an experienced banking professional with a robust background in operations management, currently serving as Head of Operations at Alizz Islamic Bank since May 2017. Prior experience includes roles at Al Hilal Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, where Asghar also held the position of Head of Operations from December 2007 to October 2016 and from 2000 to 2007, respectively. Asghar's earlier career includes audit and assurance work at EY and a managerial position at PwC. Asghar began professional training as a Chartered Accountant at Amir Alam Khan & Co. from 1990 to 1995. Educational qualifications include a Chartered Accountant degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Punjab.
