Karin Toftegaard

Karin Toftegaard has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Karin started their career as a Consultant at Matcon A/S in 1987 and worked there until 1990. Karin then started their own consultancy business and worked as a self-employed consultant until 1996. From 1996 to 1998, they served as an External Affairs Officer at the Ministry of Petroleum, Faroe Islands.

In 1998, Karin joined Teknord as a Senior Consultant and worked there until 2000. Karin then moved to NNIT A/S and worked as a Project Manager from 2000 to 2004, overseeing software development projects for Novo Nordisk and Novozymes. From 2004 to 2005, they were promoted to Manager of a new department named eS Public, where they led software development projects for the Public sector.

In 2005, Karin joined Novo Nordisk A/S and held various roles within the Corporate Quality department. Karin served as a Manager/Director of the Document Management Centre, where they were responsible for maintaining and optimizing quality management processes. Karin was later promoted to Vice President for Global Quality Operations, overseeing quality development and operations globally. Karin'sresponsibilities included leading strategic projects, managing quality processes, and implementing a robust Quality Management System.

In 2017, Karin joined ALK as Senior Director of Global Quality System. Karin'srole involved optimizing and aligning the Quality Management System across production sites and affiliates, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading Quality Management Reviews.

Throughout their career, Karin Toftegaard has demonstrated expertise in quality management, project management, and process optimization.

Karin Toftegaard obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Executive Medical Master from CBS Executive Fonden in the years 2014 to 2017. Earlier, from 1999 to 2001, they completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Master in Management of Technology at Aalborg University. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1997, they earned a Business Diploma (HD) with a focus on Organisation and Strategy from Copenhagen Business School. Karin's earliest known education is a BSc in Production Engineering from the Engineering College of Copenhagen. In addition to their degrees, they have also obtained certifications in ISO 9000 Lead Auditor and PRINCE2 foundation.
