Ian Parkinson

Ian Parkinson has extensive work experience in product management and quality assurance roles. Ian began their career at the United States Marine Corps, where they demonstrated leadership skills as a Sergeant and conducted operational tests on advanced telecommunications and electronics. After leaving the Marine Corps, Ian worked as an IT Support and Accounts Manager at Jackson Claborn, where they were responsible for mobile device support, workstation maintenance, and software installation. Ian then joined BlackBerry as a Software Test Specialist, ensuring software validation and verification for new product introductions. Ian later worked at Bottle Rocket, starting as a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst and progressing to Quality Assurance Manager. In this role, they managed the testing and delivery of the company's technology platform and contributed to the product roadmap. Currently, Ian is employed at Alkami Technology, holding various positions including Senior Director and Director of Product Management.

Ian Parkinson attended Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business from 2010-2011, where they earned a BBA degree in Management and Economics. Prior to that, they attended Collin College from 2009-2010, where they earned an AA degree in Arts and Science. Ian also attended Trinity Valley Community College in 2008-2009 and Central Texas College in 2007-2008, although they did not obtain any degrees from these institutions. In addition to their formal education, Ian has obtained several certifications, including but not limited to: Build, PMC Level IV, Pragmatic Certified Product Manager, Price, Value-Based Pricing (2015), Focus, Foundations, Professional Scrum Product Owner, ASTQB Certified Mobile Tester, ASTQB Foundation Level, and Professional Scrum Master.
