Marcelo Loureiro

Marcelo Loureiro, MBA, currently serves as the Head of Global Procurement & Trade Compliance at Alkermes since March 2019. Loureiro has extensive experience in procurement leadership, having held various senior positions at GSK, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and IBM. At GSK, Loureiro was the Head of Procurement for the Americas, overseeing procurement operations in North America and Latin America. Prior to this, Loureiro managed significant global spend at Bristol-Myers Squibb, achieving consistent savings above targets. Loureiro's career at IBM included roles such as Engagement Manager and Global Category Manager, focusing on business process outsourcing and procurement consulting. Loureiro holds an MBA in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University and completed an Executive Program at London Business School. Educational background also includes a BS in Electrical Engineering from UERJ.
