Kshitiz Malhotra

Senior Data Scientist at Alkymi

Kshitiz Malhotra is a Data Scientist with Alkymi since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Machine Learning Research Assistant at Temple University from 2017 to 2021. During this period, they were involved in extracting and categorizing data records from Web-NLP/ML, scraping and labelling user comments data using BeautifulSoup(Python) and working on a novel learning approach to extract data records using suffix classification trees. Kshitiz also improved the performance of state-of-the-art object detectors for domain specific data by merging its detection belief system with a weakly trained multi-label classifier without fine-tuning/retraining the entire object detector. Additionally, they wrote a plugin to a JAVA based software VRL-Studios for assessing bacterial movement through biofilms.

Kshitiz Malhotra received a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Temple University in 2020, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computational Data Science at the same university.
