Daniel Olton is currently a Singh Center Laboratory Research Assistant at Penn Engineering, focusing on the integration, assembly, and characterization of atomic-scale materials for electronic and photonic device applications. As a Lifeguard for the YMCA of Greater New York, Daniel ensures swimmer safety and maintains pool facilities while enhancing communication and leadership skills. Daniel volunteers with the Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability & Equity, providing environmental stewardship and promoting community engagement. Additionally, as a student at All Star Code, experience includes collaborative projects using coding languages. Daniel served as a Student Advisory Council Member for the Queens District Attorney's Office, contributing youth perspectives on law and justice. Daniel co-founded GreenBlocs, a not-for-profit organization advocating for environmental awareness in underserved communities. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a High School Diploma from Scholars' Academy.
