Aileen Lerch

Aileen Lerch is an experienced sustainability professional currently serving as the Director of Sustainability at Allbirds since January 2020, where responsibilities include leading global sustainability efforts encompassing strategy development, implementation, reporting, communication, and partnerships. Aileen has held various sustainability roles at Allbirds, progressing from Sustainability Senior Analyst to Sustainability Senior Manager. Previously, Aileen was a Fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute and held positions at WeWork, including Sustainability Senior Associate and Community Manager. Aileen's early career includes experience at Comfy, Rocky Mountain Institute, Stanford Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. Aileen holds a Master’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering with a focus on Atmosphere/Energy and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. Additionally, Aileen has completed specialized coursework in cloud computing and has international study experience at the International Institute of Madrid.
