Teresa Hoffman has been in the tech industry for over 17 years. Teresa began their career in 2003 as a Primary Teacher Trainer for the Peace Corps, where they authored and conducted workshops for primary school teachers on Life Skills and HIV/AIDS prevention, created a database-driven educational application utilized by thousands of students, and conducted basic computer skills educational seminars, focusing on Microsoft Office.
In 2005, they joined TechFlow, Inc. as a Senior Business Analyst, where they analyzed business processes and existing systems to recommend modifications across applications to satisfy business line objectives, collaborated with Application Development team and Software Quality Assurance team to ensure end software product met the requirements of the client, and gathered requirements during Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with clients and other project stakeholders. Teresa then moved up to Business Analyst, where they created workflow diagrams and high-level designs diagramming the “as-is” business processes and the business processes “to-be” integrated into the applications, assisted the program management office with various functional aspects of the project including training, technical writing, problem analysis, and internal process improvement, and produced standard operating procedures for supporting new application features/functions. Teresa was then promoted to Senior Support Analyst, where they assisted with the training of new software support analysts, mentored software support analysts on escalated user incident resolutions, and collaborated with the Application Development team to review/edit change requests. Teresa then moved back to Support Analyst, where they provided support for application end users using research and testing methods to identify issues and resolve incidents, documented incident resolutions and known issues, and trained users and peers, where appropriate.
In 2014, Teresa joined PGi as a Product Manager, where they collaborated with internal GlobalMeet Audio, Design, Development, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Billing teams to become a central hub for iMeet Product internal support, successfully led a distributed SCRUM team to complete product roadmap for iMeet Cloud Controls, a customer portal for self-provisioning and user license management, and coordinated database clean-up effort for future migration of legacy iMeet data to GlobalMeet 5. Teresa then moved up to Business Analyst Manager, where they managed Business Analysts within the iMeet Product Team, continued serving as Product Owner for internal Provisioning SCRUM team, and provided advanced level Provisioning related problem analysis for Customer Support.
In 2018, Teresa joined OnSolve as a Product Manager, where they implemented OnSolve IT Alerting and Convergence programs by aligning the product vision to company strategies, prioritizing features, and providing guidance to five product owners, advocated for customers by conducting interviews, demos, and collecting feedback for iterative development, and mentored product owners and established documented processes for high quality product development. Teresa then moved up to Analyst & Sr. Product Owner, where they headed three global, distributed Agile SCRUM teams to launch IT Alerting On-Call Scheduling product for Send Word Now, orchestrated product release plans for On-Call Scheduling phased releases including documentation, customer demos, training, and supporting sales and marketing, and analyzed legacy applications to create strategy for migrating customer data to consolidated solution.
