Sara Pineo

Sara Pineo has extensive experience in institutional advancement, most notably serving as Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Allegheny College from April 2013 to May 2025. In this role, Sara provided strategic leadership in areas such as alumni engagement, annual giving, event planning, and development communications. Additionally, Sara was part of the leadership team for campaign planning and execution, overseeing a data-informed annual giving program and acting as the primary liaison to the Alumni Council. Before this position, Sara served as Senior Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement, where strategic vision was set for annual giving and volunteerism, fostering a culture of philanthropy among constituents. Sara's career began at W. L. Gore & Associates as Director of Annual Giving and Product Development Engineer. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Dickinson College, obtained in 1995.
