Professor Alessandro Boccanelli is the current President of the Italian Society of Geriatric Cardiology (SICGE) and in 2002-2004 served as the President of ANMCO, the National Association of Hospital Cardiologists.
He has worked at the Cardiological Hospital of Ancona, Saint Camillus Hospital, and Saint John’s Hospital in Rome where he was the Director of the Department for Cardiovascular Diseases (1998-2013).
He is a Professor of Medicine at Uni Camillus, the International University of Health and Medical Sciences, and a practicing cardiologist at Quisisana, world-class cardiac care, and cardiological rehabilitation center.
In 2013, he founded the non-profit association “Salute e Società” which is focused on improving the relationship between healthcare, welfare, and society.
He is the author of over 300 scientific publications in national and international medical journals.
