Luca Weihs

Luca Weihs is a research scientist at Allen Institute for AI. Luca has previous experience working as a research scientist intern at AI2, where they created and validated a machine learning pipeline for predicting the future scientific impact of authors and papers. Luca also worked on a team to launch Semantic Scholar, an academic paper search tool, and helped to build a system that rapidly prototypes new ranking strategies.

Luca Weihs received their BA in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley. They then attended the University of Washington where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistics.
