Shruthi Vijaykumar

Shruthi VijayKumar is a Senior Research Associate at the Allen Institute's Seattle Hub for Synthetic Biology since July 2024, previously serving in various roles including Senior Research Associate, Research Associate II, and Research Associate at the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network from August 2020 to July 2024, working in Dr. Loic Royer's lab. Prior experience includes working as a Research Technician at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Dr. Gaurav Varshney's lab from January 2019 to August 2020, and completing a Masters thesis at the University of Edinburgh on the protein partners of FOXG1 in Glioblastoma Multiforme. Shruthi has also held positions as a Research Fellow and Project Student at the University of Warwick, focusing on embryonic development in zebrafish and cytokinetic processes. Earlier experiences include internships at Suguna Foods Limited and Biocon, where laboratory techniques were developed, and quality assurance practices were learned. Shruthi holds a Master's degree in Regenerative Medicine from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Vellore Institute of Technology.
