Ruby Fielding

Ruby Fielding has served as the Vice President for Fiscal Affairs/Chief Financial Officer at Allen University since November 2013. She led the effort in achieving and maintaining clean, unqualified financial audits for the University; establishing internal controls that comply with applicable state, federal and institutional rules; and attaining financial stability. She successfully steered the implementation of a new enterprise resource planning system for which now the varied organizational systems are fully integrated, transactions and production are virtually error-free, consequently enhancing the efficiency of the business operations. Her prior work experience includes more than 20 years of performance as the chief financial officer and/or director of administration in various governmental agencies including a premier public supported institution of higher education, the College of Charleston.

Fielding also serves as a reviewer/evaluator for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states. She previously worked as a volunteer business consultant for the U. S. Small Business Administration, where she assisted aspiring and established entrepreneurs with developing business plans and accounting systems as well as taught accounting classes to business persons.

She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Columbia College and master's degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.
