Validation Project Leader at Allergy Therapeutics

Mark Baker has extensive work experience in the field of validation and microbiology. Mark started their career as a Microbiologist at Leatherhead Food RA Ltd in 2001 and then worked as a Cryptosporidium Analyst at South East Water in 2002. Mark further pursued their career as a Microbiologist at Robens, Centre for public and Environmental Health, where they were responsible for water quality monitoring and preparation of media. In 2004, Mark joined Allergy Therapeutics as a Validation Technician, qualifying critical processes and equipment according to cGMP and industry standards. Mark also worked as a QC Microbiologist, conducting routine analytical procedures and involving in validation work. At Allergy Therapeutics, Mark progressed to the roles of Senior Validation Engineer and Validation Project Leader. In these positions, they were involved in generating validation life cycle documentation, planning and executing cleaning validation studies, and serving as the site Validation 'Sterilisation Expert'. Mark's work experience at Allergy Therapeutics spanned from 2004 to the present year.

Mark Baker attended St Paul's College from 1991 to 1998, where they obtained A Level/ GCSE in Biology, Chemistry, Science Double, and Mathematics. From 1998 to 2001, they pursued a BSc (Honours) degree in Microbiology at the University of Surrey. Later, from 2007 to 2010, Mark engaged in MSc Level Modules in Pharmaceutical Engineering Advanced Training at The University of Manchester. Additionally, they completed a PRINCE2® certification in Project Management from The Knowledge Academy.
