New Product Development Scientist at Allergy Therapeutics

Thalia Carreno has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Thalia worked at Allergy Therapeutics as a New Product Development Scientist and as a Scientific Technical Writer. Prior to that, they held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Sussex Drug Discovery Centre, where they conducted research in protein production and crystallography. Thalia also gained experience in public engagement through a role at the University of Sussex. Thalia participated in the Headstart Chemistry and Drug Discovery Summer School program at EDT (The Engineering Development Trust). In addition, they have experience in science communication from their time at Flavour SenseNation. Thalia also has significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked as a Regulatory Affairs Officer and as a Quality Control Scientist at SUN PHARMA. In these roles, they were responsible for activities such as producing regulatory documentation, analyzing pharmaceutical documents for drug approval, and development of quality control protocols.

Thalia Carreno's education history begins in 2006 when they attended Universidad Simón Bolívar (MX) and pursued a degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Biology (Q.F.B.). Thalia specialized in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design, completing their studies in 2010. In 2012, they enrolled at the University of Sussex for a Master of Science (MS) degree in Genetic Manipulation and Molecular Cell Biology, which they completed in 2013. Following this, Thalia Carreno continued their studies at the University of Sussex and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry in 2017. In 2020, they attended Harvard Medical School and received a Certificate of Achievement in HMX Fundamentals Immunology.
