Shakeelah Sutton is a seasoned professional in health and wellness, currently serving as the Regional Program Manager for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation since May 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing program delivery in the Mid-Atlantic region and advising under-resourced schools on health policy changes. In addition to this role, Shakeelah founded and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the calm/cool collective, a mobile wellness studio that promotes equitable access to holistic wellness practices for communities of color. Prior experience includes serving as an Exercise Physiologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, focusing on physical activity programs for underserved schools, and coordinating lifestyle interventions for diabetic veterans at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Shakeelah's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Exercise Science - Clinical Exercise Physiology from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science, with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
