Chair Of Consumer Empowerment And Market Conduct Working Group (cemc Wg) at Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI)

Armenuhi Mkrtchyan has extensive experience in consumer protection and financial education, currently serving as the Director of the Consumer Protection and Financial Education Center at the Central Bank of Armenia since September 1998. Additional roles include Head of the Consumer Protection Division, Head of the Insurance and Securities Regulation Division, Senior Researcher at the Banking Methodology and Analysis Department, and serving in various consulting positions with the World Bank and MEFMI. In parallel, Armenuhi Mkrtchyan holds the position of Chair of the Consumer Empowerment and Market Conduct Working Group at the Alliance for Financial Inclusion since September 2014 and has been a Board Member of the Financial System Mediator since December 2008. Academic contributions include adjunct professorship at the American University of Armenia and visiting lectureship at the Financial-Banking College. Educational credentials comprise an MLitt in International Business from the University of St Andrews, studies at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a diploma in Global Economics from the Armenian University of Economics.
