James Holtum

James Holtum is a seasoned communications and political engagement professional with extensive experience in promoting democracy and shaping public opinion. Currently serving as Senior Director of Strategy at the Alliance of Democracies Foundation, James has previously held key roles including Senior Adviser and Head of Political Engagement at Fourtold, and Senior Adviser for Communications at the Alliance of Democracies Foundation & Transatlantic Commission on Election Integrity, where James led initiatives such as the Copenhagen Democracy Summit. With a strong background in European affairs, James has worked at the European Parliament, where James managed communications for various political groups and served as Head of Communications. James's career also includes media strategy development for the UK Conservative MEPs and advocacy for the Federation of Small Businesses within the EU. Academically, James holds a BA(Hons) in Politics from the University of Exeter.
