Michael McKinley's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Michael started their career as an Integrated Process Control Coordinator at Republic Conduit, where they implemented Statistical Process Control protocols and reduced product defects. Michael then worked as a Product Development Specialist at Swarco Industries, managing development teams for new product lines. Following that, they had internships at FedEx Services and Avondale Partners, where they analyzed sales force integration and made recommendations for growth. Michael later worked as a Senior Consultant at MTG, Ltd., overseeing various projects related to production optimization and management improvement. Michael then joined XSOLIS as a Data Engineer II and later became the Manager of Management Reporting. In these roles, they led documentation efforts, ensured a positive onboarding experience, and developed code for data acquisition and storage. Currently, they are working as an AVP/BI Developer/Team Lead at AllianceBernstein. In their previous role as President and Senior Consultant at McKinley Consulting, Inc., they advised clients on building reporting databases, optimizing ETL processes, and creating reporting for top-level management.

Michael McKinley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. Michael later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management, specializing in Investment Management, Finance, Strategy, and International Relations. In terms of additional certifications, Michael obtained the Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate certification from Microsoft in June 2020. Michael also achieved American Chemical Society Accreditation in 2005 and successfully completed the CFA Level III examination in 2014.
