Ram Kalapatapu has over 20 years of work experience, primarily in the financial industry. Ram started working at Citi in 1994, where they held various roles including Programmer/Analyst, Senior Programmer Analyst, Technical Specialist, AVP, and finally Vice President. In these roles, they were responsible for managing technology initiatives related to credit derivatives, including trading, risk, and reporting. Ram also worked on projects involving Calypso and other proprietary platforms, as well as integration with back-office systems. In 2010, they joined AllianceBernstein as a Vice President, where they managed development projects for the trade Lifecycle of OTC derivatives and Futures on the Calypso platform. Their responsibilities included trade capture, pricing/risk, and downstream trade notification and reporting. Ram customized and enhanced the Calypso deployment, conducted regular testing and upgrading, and developed and maintained decoupled solutions to co-exist with the vendor platform.
Ram Kalapatapu obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, which they attended from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Industrial and Production Engineering from RV College Of Engineering, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Before pursuing higher education, Ram attended St Aloysius school, although the specific duration and degree obtained are unknown.
