Marc Spoorendonk

Marc Spoorendonk is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in analytics, data governance, and product management across various organizations. Currently serving as Product Owner for AI Acceleration, BI & Data Governance Tooling at Alliander since 2022, Marc oversees two DevOps teams focused on analytics tooling and data governance. Prior to this role, Marc worked as a Business Development Engineer at Ellipz Smart Solutions and held multiple positions at Vattenfall, including Head of Analytics and Asset Integrity Management for Vattenfall Wind, where responsibilities included optimizing the operations of approximately 1100 wind turbines. Earlier experience includes significant roles in gas portfolio optimization and quantitative analysis at Nuon Energy Trading and Essent, respectively. Marc began a career in software architecture at Pretection, contributing to internet trademark fraud detection initiatives. Educational background includes studies at Delft University of Technology.
