Bill Ryan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Bill began their career in the US Navy, serving as a Yeoman, First Class Petty Officer from March 1987 to February 1991. After leaving the Navy, they worked in radio broadcasting, first at Kirwin Broadcasting as a Radio Announcer from 1991 to 1993, and then at Head of the Lakes Broadcasting as a Radio Advertising Executive from 1996 to 1997.

Following their time in radio, Bill joined Prudential Financial where they held various roles in customer service. Bill served as a Customer Service Representative, Coordinator, and Manager from 1997 to 2002, leading a team of 16 individuals and ensuring high standards of service delivery.

In 2002, Bill transitioned to Allianz Life where they began their career in the HR field. Bill started as a Customer Service Manager and later moved into HR roles, including HR Service Center Manager, HR Information Systems, Metric Reporting and Analytics Manager, and HR Organization Development Manager from 2002 to 2010. During this time, they served as Chief of Staff for the national Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), executing Organization Effectiveness duties.

From 2010 to 2021, Bill further advanced in their HR career at Allianz Life, taking on the role of HR Business Partner. Bill provided strategic HR counsel across various functions within the organization, including Distribution, Diversity & Inclusion, Facilities & Human Resources, Internal Audit, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and Marketing.

In 2021, Bill was promoted to Assistant Vice President, People & Culture, Head of Learning and Development, and later in 2022, they assumed the position of Vice President, People & Culture, Head of Learning and Development at Allianz Life, where they continue to provide strategic support for corporate and business priorities.

Bill Ryan has an extensive education history. Bill obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in General Studies from Itasca Community College in 1993. Bill then completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and Communications as a double major at the University of Minnesota Duluth from 1993 to 1996.

In 2000, Bill pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Cardinal Stritch University, which they completed in 2004. Continuing their education, they participated in the Executive Coaching Certificate Program in Organizational Leadership at the University of St. Thomas from 2016 to 2017.

Bill Ryan has also obtained various certifications to further enhance their skills and expertise. Bill is a Certified Practitioner of the Zenger Folkman Inspiring Leader Workshop, the Zenger Folkman Extraordinary Leader 360 Workshop, and the MBTI Type I and Type II Instruments. The exact dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.

Currently, Bill Ryan is serving as an Adjunct Professor in Human Resources Development at Cardinal Stritch University, a position they have held since 2016.
