Michael Demuth

Michael Demuth, CFA has a strong background in investment management, risk analysis, and asset-liability management (ALM) within the insurance industry. Michael has worked primarily for Allianz and its subsidiaries. Most recently, they served as the Head of Investment Management at Allianz Life, where they were responsible for managing investments and overseeing the investment team. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Capital and Products Risk, where they managed risk related to capital and product offerings. Before joining Allianz Life, Michael was the Head of Portfolio and Inforce Management at Allianz Asia Pacific. Michael also held the role of Senior Risk Analyst at Allianz, where they developed a steering framework for Solvency II compliance and alignment of risk and business strategy. In addition, they held the role of Deputy Head of ALM at Allianz Leben and Regional Head of ALM/SAA at Allianz Investment Management Singapore, where they were responsible for managing ALM activities and reshaping processes for new product approval. Michael Demuth, CFA has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mathematics from Syracuse University and a Diploma in Business Mathematics from Ulm University. Michael is also a CFA Charterholder.
