Phil Behrens serves as the Director of Business Controls for the COO at Allianz Life, focusing on enhancing the control environment through scalable, risk-based methodologies while collaborating with various departments to ensure comprehensive oversight. Previous roles include Senior Records & Information Manager, Records & Information Manager, and Senior Compliance Analyst- Data Privacy at Allianz Life, where Phil contributed to records management and data privacy compliance. Phil has also held legal positions at Medtronic, EVERFI, LawRoom, Foster Employment Law, and has experience from earlier roles as an Associate at Lafayette & Kumagai LLP, Summer Associate at Reed Smith LLP, and Law Clerk for Oakland Unified School District. Phil holds a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, and an A.B. in Psychology from Harvard University.
