Sophie Martens has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Sophie started their career at Arkema as a Sales Support Coordinator from April 2003 to July 2004. Sophie then joined Google and held various roles including Account Strategist from August 2004 to December 2007, Account Manager from December 2007 to October 2010, Media Solutions Consultant from October 2010 to August 2012, and Agency Program Manager from August 2012 to December 2013. After Google, Sophie worked at Noordhoff Health as a Product Manager from January 2014 to August 2016, and as a Go To Market Manager from August 2016 to April 2018. Sophie then moved to Allsecur autoverzekeringen as a Communication Manager from May 2018 to March 2019. Currently, Sophie is working at Allianz Nederland, where they have held the roles of Content Manager België en Nederland from April 2019 to April 2021, and currently serves as the Brand & Partnerships Lead since April 2021.
Sophie Martens has a diverse education history. In 1996, they attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and completed a propedeutic year in Sociaal Culturele Wetenschappen. Sophie continued their studies at VU Amsterdam and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communicatie- en Informatiewetenschappen from 1997 to 2003.
Throughout their career, Sophie pursued various professional development courses. In 2004, they attended SRM and studied Marketingcommunicatie A. In 2007, they completed a Professional Webdesign course at Eduvision. The following year, they returned to SRM to study Marketingcommunicatie B.
In 2013, Sophie attended ICM opleidingen & trainingen, where they obtained a PRINCE2 certification in Project Management. More recently, in 2018-2019, they studied at SRM, specializing in College for Brand Management.
Currently, Sophie is undertaking a course in Effectieve persoonlijke communicatie at de Baak, expected to be completed in 2022.
