Jack Zemp

Chief Legal Officer, North America at Allianz Travel

Jack Zemp is the Chief Legal Officer, North America at Allianz Travel. Jack has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in property-casualty, environmental, D&O, and E&O claims. Prior to joining Allianz Travel, they were the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel at Allianz Global Assistance (Jefferson Insurance Company), where they led the legal team and advised on regulatory, compliance, corporate governance, claims, litigation, privacy, labor, contract, and risk issues. Jack also served as the Chairperson of the UStiA Law and Regulation Committee. During their time at Allianz Global Assistance, Jack was instrumental in saving the company $50 million through their handling of complex regulatory, legislative, and lobbying matters. Jack also developed and managed a plan to get 48 states to adopt legislation approach for a new Producer Registration Law to overhaul licensing regulation for the travel insurance industry. In addition, they drove a multi-year key regulatory initiative and negotiated for the passage of the NCOIL and NAIC Travel Insurance Model Law as Chairperson of the UStiA Industry Law and Regulation Committee. Jack has been a leader in the insurance industry for many years and has been instrumental in creating positive change within the industry.

Jack Zemp has a BA in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MBA in business administration and management from the Boston College Carroll School of Management, a JD from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter from the Insurance Institute of America.
