João Costa

João Costa is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in design and analysis within the electronics and R&D sectors. Currently serving as the Mechanical, CAD & Analysis Unit Lead at Allied Motion Technologies, Inc., since June 2020, João's previous role involved mechanical design within the same global team. Prior to this, João worked at Efacec as an R&D Mechanical Engineer, focusing on low-noise power transformers and utilizing advanced numerical simulations and experimental analysis. An internship at Simoldes Group followed a notable achievement in a case study competition, providing insights into plastic injection mold production for the automotive industry. João's academic journey culminated in an Integrated Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, complemented by experience as a teaching assistant in mechanical vibrations and leadership roles in student governance.
