Erik Kolle is an experienced aviation professional serving as a First Officer for American Airlines since April 2018. In addition to this role, Erik is a member of the Safety Committee focused on Accident Investigations for the Allied Pilots Association since August 2021. Previously, Erik held various leadership positions in the Marine Corps, including Director of Operations and Foreign Military Training for Marine Medium Tiltrotor Training Squadron 204, where Erik developed the first foreign military V-22 training program for the Japanese Self Defense Forces. Notably, Erik managed MV-22 training operations for Marine Helicopter Squadron One and led the first MV-22 transatlantic crossing for the President's attendance at the G7 Summit. Erik’s earlier roles included Quality Assurance Officer and Aviation Safety Officer, showcasing a strong background in aviation safety and training. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a minor in German from North Carolina State University, as well as specialized aviation safety education and training credentials.
