David Wetzel

Vice President - Product Development / Senior Software Architect at Allied Universal

David Wetzel has extensive work experience in software development, architecture, and engineering. David started their career as a VP of Software Engineering at Authentium, where they designed and built shrink wrap software. David then worked as a consultant at Robert Half Technology and TekPartners, utilizing their skills in C# and .Net to develop prototypes and write a business tier for aerial image retrieval. Wetzel later served as an Application Architect at Dycom Industries, where they created a drawing library to replace a third-party GIS library. David also worked as an Enterprise Architect and Senior Software Engineer at Proxense, LLC, developing a device diagnostic application. At Digital Target Marketing, Wetzel held multiple roles including VP of Technology and Enterprise Architect. David led the construction of a replacement website framework and managed infrastructure. Wetzel then joined Partech International as a Software Architect, leading teams in enterprise configuration management, point of sales (POS) applications, and back-office systems. Before their current role as Vice President of Product Development and Senior Software Architect at Allied Universal, Wetzel served as a Senior Data Science Engineer at Bankrate.com, creating serverless RESTful infrastructure and a data warehouse using Amazon AWS and Snowflake. Lastly, Wetzel worked as a Software Architect at Knockout Web Solutions, where they led a team in developing an inventory management and tracking system and synchronized channel marketplaces via APIs.

David Wetzel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their degree, Wetzel has obtained multiple certifications from Microsoft, including MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional in 1998 and again in 2012, as well as several other certifications in various Microsoft technologies throughout the years. David also holds a GS1 Fundamentals Certificate from GS1 US, which they obtained in May 2018.
