Barnabas Nyesiga

Nyesiga Barnabas is an experienced researcher currently serving as an Industrial PhD Student and Laboratory Engineer at Alligator Bioscience AB since January 2016. Nyesiga has previously worked as an Intern Research Assistant at Malmö University, focusing on the investigation of sialic acid expression in cancer cells, and at Lund University, where research involved the expression and purification of barley Erecta protein, as well as molecular biotechnology studies on CRISPR-Cas9 techniques. Nyesiga holds a Master's Degree in Biomedical Methods and Technology from Malmö University, emphasizing biological and artificial interfaces. Prior roles include Assistant Scientific Officer at the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics, where Nyesiga gained experience in BSL3 laboratory procedures and conducted validation studies for multidrug-resistant TB detection. Nyesiga completed a Bachelor's Degree in Science Technology with a focus on Biology at Kyambogo University from 2004 to 2008.
