Dr Sumeet Ambarkhane, MD

Dr. Sumeet Ambarkhane, MD has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dr Sumeet is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Alligator Bioscience AB since February 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at MorphoSys from 2015 to 2021, including Senior Global Program Medical Director, Senior Director of Clinical Development, and Director of Clinical Program Leader. In these positions, they led the medical and clinical strategy, execution, and analysis of hematooncology clinical development programs. Additionally, they contributed as a clinical development and medical lead for new and pipeline projects while leading clinical subteams.

Prior to their tenure at UCB, Dr. Ambarkhane worked at SIRO Clinpharm from 2005 to 2008. Dr Sumeet served as the Team Leader of Medical Writing, where they headed the medical writing business unit and managed team resources, deliverables, and administration. Dr Sumeet also held the role of Assistant Manager of Medical Services, overseeing various responsibilities related to medical writing.

Dr. Ambarkhane began their career as a Radiology Resident Doctor at BJ Medical College & Sassoon General Hospitals in 2002. Dr Sumeet gained experience in patient care and medical imaging during their residency.

Before their medical education, Dr. Ambarkhane worked as a Physician Medical Officer In charge at Govt. of Maharashtra. In this role, they were responsible for day-to-day medical and patient care management at a primary healthcare center. Dr Sumeet also managed administrative tasks and implemented government healthcare programs.

Dr Sumeet Ambarkhane, MD has a strong background in medicine and pharmacology. In 2017, Dr Ambarkhane attended Ulm University, where they received a Certificate of Competence in Lymphoma, focusing on B-cell malignancies, lymphoma, and leukemia. In May 2018, they obtained an additional certification, the Certificate of Competence in Hemato Oncology & Lymphoma, also from Ulm University.
