Robert Quickel

Robert Quickel serves as the Vice President of Medical Operations for Surgery, Procedural, and Orthopedics at Allina Health since August 2015, where responsibilities include coordinating surgical and procedural care across the Allina system. Quickel also leads the Allina Safety Committee, focusing on enhancing patient and employee safety through process improvement. Previous leadership roles include Chair of the Surgery and Procedural Care Committee at the Minnesota Hospital Association, contributing to the reduction of surgical "never" events, and Senior Medical Director at Hennepin Healthcare System. Quickel's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota, along with degrees in Philosophy and Healthcare MBA from Dartmouth College and the University of St. Thomas, respectively.
