Robert Burtz

Robert Burtz is an experienced Senior Design Engineer specializing in on-highway transmissions at Allison Transmission since January 2020, focusing on the design of components such as torque converters, main pumps, and retarder systems. Prior to this role, Robert served as Fan System Design Lead at Rolls-Royce, contributing to new product introductions and cost reduction initiatives, and held various engineering positions at Honeywell Aerospace, Parker Hannifin, and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, where expertise included turbine engine fuel nozzle design and avionics for the C-130J. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, earned between 1993 and 1997.
