Edina Torgyekes

Edina Torgyekes has a strong background in the field of genetics and healthcare management. Edina currently serves as the Director of the Neonatal Congenital Heart Defect Database Project at the International Registry of Fetal Anomalies, where they are responsible for maintaining and analyzing a large fetal ultrasound database. Edina also provides genetic quality assurance for the detection of various fetal anomalies and signs of non-chromosomal syndromes. Additionally, Edina is involved in expanding the fetal ultrasound project to enable early diagnosis of common congenital heart defects.

Prior to their current role, Edina worked as a Clinical and Research Geneticist Consultant at the International Registry of Fetal Anomalies. Edina also served as an Independent Medical Reviewer at AllMed Healthcare Management and as a Clinical Advisor at PWNHealth.

Edina's earlier experiences include being a Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Genetics/Neurology at Columbia University, a Resident and Fellow in Clinical Genetics at Columbia University Medical Center, and a Resident in Internal Medicine at Rochester General Hospital. Edina also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and as a Medical Affairs Manager at Pharmavit/Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.

Edina Torgyekes attended the University of Pecs, Hungary from 1991 to 1993 where they studied Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies. Edina then went on to Semmelweis University from 1991 to 1997, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medical Clinical Sciences/Graduate Medical Studies.
